Mark A. Laing

Mark A. Laing is the manager, programmer, and trading system developer for the company and serves as one of its three directors. In November 1980 Mr. Laing began Marsyl Enterprises (“Marsyl”) (subsequently incorporated as Marsyl Enterprises, Inc.) located in Cody, Wyoming, and he has been the President from inception to the present. Marsyl began by producing its own candy novelty and gift product lines, developing and implementing all aspects to produce and market nationwide. From May 1983 to December 1999 Mr. Laing expanded the company into a new office/warehouse and production facility with over 25 employees, marketing to over 15,000 retail outlets in all 50 states and Canada, before selling off the bulk of product lines in December 1999. In July 1999, Marsyl, under Mr. Laing, developed and launched a consumer rebate service (discontinued in July 2005) until in July 2001, it shifted its focus to presenting financial seminars for senior adults and followed up by offering financial products including annuities, life insurance, living trusts (through 3rd party attorneys), and provided information about reverse mortgages, Medicaid, and long-term care planning. Though he continues to service former clients, his primary focus since February 2004 shifted to studying, trading, and developing proprietary automated trading systems for the futures trading industry, after attending an S&P 500 technical indicator training seminar, and other instructional workshops in Florida, Utah, and Idaho. Years before entering the investment world, Mr. Laing had studied mathematics at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and now found himself at home using quantitative applications in the markets. In April 2007 he sold the rights to his trading strategies to Predictive Futures Holdings, LLC, (now Predictive Futures Management, LLC) for a substantial share in that company. In April 2008, Mr. Laing joined the company full-time as an employee, where he continues to design and test strategies and trading systems.  Mr. Laing passed the Series 65 exam on September 23, 2008. He also passed the Series 3 exam on January 23, 2009. On March 24, 2009 he became registered with the CFTC as an associated person (“AP”), and was branch manager of the company prior to the main office of the firm being moved to Cody, Wyoming.
